Leaving Italy (PCS): what to do with your car

Orders can come quickly, sometimes with only a couple of weeks' notice. Planning ahead for your car saves stress and money.

Last checked: November 2026

Your options

  • Sell it back to us. Tell us about the car and when you're leaving, and we'll make you an offer.
  • Sell it to another member of the community.
  • Ship it, if your orders and the car allow it. Check with the base transportation office.

Don't leave it to the last minute

Before you leave, the base needs your car to be sold, shipped or properly taken off the register. Start early, so you're not forced into a fire sale on Facebook in your last week.

How our buy-back works

Send us the details and a few photos through our Sell your car page, along with your leaving date. We'll get back to you with an offer and handle the paperwork with you.
